Welcome to the PJAM Wiki


This Wiki is being configured and built to provide a library of knowledge regarding effective and best practices in workforce development as pertains to the objectives of PJAM. The intended audience are the local chapters of the NTMA, their members, and their workforce development partners.

About PJAM


PJAM stands for Precision Jobs for American Manufacturing. The PJAM Program is being designed and implemented by the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA). The NTMA? is a non-profit trade association that represents all sectors of the precision tooling and machining metalworking industries, which employs over 440,000 skilled workers in over 20,000 companies across the United States. The goal of the PJAM program is to upgrade and standardize regional industry practices in the recruitment, training, placement and retention of skilled workforce.

How This Wiki Is Structured


This wiki is structured to address the five fundamental elements of the PJAM Workforce Development Model:
  1. Industry Leadership
  2. Recruitment
  3. Training (and Retraining)
  4. Placement and Retention
  5. Funding

Each section provides:

  • An overview of the main topic and subtopics for double your date(external link) therein
  • PJAM related best practices and other related examples pertaining to the topic
  • Links to other outside resources and references on the topic
  • PJAM developed tools (as applicable)

Additional sections also exist to address the structure, governance and operation of PJAM as well as other subject matter not directly falling into the four categories above but directly relevant to the goals of PJAM.
